New Formula Red AP1 S2000 Looks like a Real Gem

Aside from its classic sports car hue, this Honda S2000 is an immaculate, low-mile example of the breed, too.

Classic Hue

Red is a color long synonymous with sports cars. Brands like Ferrari have built an entire image with this one singular hue. But red looks good on more than just Prancing Horses and fire trucks, of course. It also looks perfectly fine on this AP1-gen Honda S2000 that we spotted over at Bring a Trailer. And the fact that this car is also a low-mileage survivor makes it that much better.

Summer Toy

New Formula Red is a great color choice for the S2000, of course, especially when its as well kept as this one. But with just 32k-miles on the clock, that probably hasn't been too terribly difficult to do. The car has reportedly spent its years on this earth in places like Montana, Wyoming, and Minnesota, so obviously it's been garaged in the winter.

Thawing Out

But we imagine that the feeling the previous owner got when they were finally able to pull the cover off this Honda and go for that first Spring cruise was well worth the many months of cold darkness. Especially if it was warm enough to drop that black soft top and go for a cruise.

Factory Fresh

According to the listing, the previous owners completed a series of maintenance on the car over the years and that much shows in its excellent current condition. With no reported damage or previous accidents, it's about as close to factory fresh as they come.

Original and Immaculate

The black interior looks to be in tip-top shape as well. And, perhaps more importantly, it's also 100% original. With such a commonly modified car, that's obviously important for a lot of folks. Especially if you're buying one as a future investment, particularly one you can drive and enjoy for while in the meantime.

Drive and Enjoy

The engine bay is equally immaculate and truly looks like something you'd find in a low-mile machine such as this. Of course, the oil and filters have been changed recently, and all other fluids checked. Thus, this pristine ride should be good to go for many, many more miles if the new owner chooses to actually enjoy the car.

Buyer's Market?

If you're a fan of New Formula Red S2000s, it'll certainly be hard to top this one. Especially since it hammered for the pretty reasonable price of $17,000. But then again, we all know that winter isn't the best time to sell a convertible. Although it's obviously the best time to buy a nice, low-mile one, apparently.
