Filling the Void

We've certainly seen our fair share of low-mile S2000s recently. But very few of them have been of the Club Racer variety. This stunning Rio Yellow Pearl CR, which recently crossed the virtual block at Bring a Trailer, certainly helps fill that void, however. With just 15k miles on the clock, it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.

Substantial Selling Price

It's no surprise, given the car's rarity and condition, that it also hammered for a substantial $48,000. As you probably already know, Honda produced just 699 Club Racers, 140 of which were painted this particular hue. But clearly, this one hasn't been driven much in the years since.

On Tour

This particular car has changed hands a few times, however. It was originally sold in Arizona before making its way to South Carolina. The most recent owner, the seller, resides in Minnesota. Clearly, this car's been on a pretty nice triangular tour of the United States.

Keep It Pristine

Quite a bit of effort went into keeping this Club Racer in pristine condition. It's been ceramic coated, of course, and there's paint protection film on the front bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, and door edges. Regardless, there's still a scratch and a paint chip present, which is pretty much inevitable.

Clean Inside

The interior looks to be in fantastic shape, however. There you'll find the typical yellow seat inserts and stitching on the shift boot and steering wheel. This car also has air conditioning and a stereo, which are nice things for street use. We'll gladly trade the little bit of weight they add for a slight loss in performance, personally.

Mostly Stock

Unsurprisingly, the engine bay looks pristine as well. There's nothing to report here really, except for the fact that routine maintenance has been performed as needed. This Club Racer is essentially 100% stock, save for a new set of Continental ContiProContact tires that were just added last year.

Going Up

Given this car's rarity and the explosion of interest in the S2000 in general, we're not surprised that bidding for it was rather brisk. It isn't every day that you find a Club Racer this nice, that's for sure. And you can bet that they won't be getting any cheaper in the near future, either.
