Rescued GPW AP2 Needs a New Loving Home
After a checkered past, this AP2 looks better than ever, and it's up for grabs in the S2Ki Marketplace.
New Home Needed
If we had unlimited funds, we'd go through the S2Ki Marketplace and give all the cool rides there a new loving home. But alas, we don't, and that means we have to rely on others to save cars like this sweet AP2. This particular car suffered from some vandalism many years back that was obviously repaired, which just makes us want to adopt it and add it to our garage even more.

Few Miles
You wouldn't be able to tell anything had ever happened to this beauty now, of course. The car itself is in amazing condition today and has just over 43,000 miles on the clock. The seller is just the third owner and has had this AP2 in his possession for five years now, and has added around 6,000 miles to the odometer over that time period.

Fair Weather Cruiser
Obviously, the seller has used this AP2 as his fair-weather cruiser, and that means it's looking super clean these days. The car also reportedly drives like a dream and received a new top back in 2008. The trunk and rear bumper were repainted at one point to fix some scratches and remove the holes from an OEM spoiler, but those are really the only negative points here.

Preventative Maintenance
The engine has received some maintenance here and there, including a new valve cover gasket and engine belt at the 40k-mile mark, which was done as a preventative measure. The seller also replaced the dipstick with a new OEM piece while he was at it.

Few Upgrades
On the inside, you'll find a fresh set of OEM floor mats, a Club Racer center console, and radio door, JPM Coachworks shift boot featuring Alcantara with yellow stitching, a JPM center armrest pad, and Spoon rearview mirror glass. Nothing major, but a few welcome upgrades, indeed.

Fairly Fresh
Suspension-wise, everything is stock save for a set of KW V2 coilovers, but the stock pieces come with the car as well. The rear quarters were rolled at one point to fit some aftermarket wheels. Right now, the car rolls on fairly fresh Dunlop Direzza ZIIs measuring in at 225/45-17 up front and 255/40-17 in the rear.

Exterior Goodies
On the outside, this AP2 has a few goodies including an OEM CR front lip with OEM hardware,
OEM CR black S2000 fender badges, and a set of Rick's smoked side markers. Altogether, it's a nice little package that deserves to go to a good home. So be sure and check out this and the many other cool rides currently up for grabs in the S2Ki Marketplace!
