Spa Yellow Pearl AP1 Is a 6K Original Mile Wonder

We often wonder how so many S2000s have lasted to this point in time with so few miles, and yet, they just keep popping up for sale. The latest in this long line of barely used cars is this beautiful Spa Yellow Pearl '02 that recently surfaced at Bring a Trailer. With just 6k miles on the clock, it's barely been broken in. And unsurprisingly, bidding was brisk, as the car ultimately sold for a significant $36,000.

One Owner

Another bonus about this particular Honda is that it's a true one-owner car. Well, at least until now. The car comes to us from North Carolina with a clean CarFax and no visible problems. But given how little it's been driven, that's pretty much assumed to be the case.

Time Machine

The factory yellow paint is essentially flawless, as is the bodywork. And the new owner was obviously very pleased when he took delivery of the car. "It really is a perfectly preserved time machine and it drives like a dream! I’ve also got to say the paint is just fantastic in both color and quality."

Untouched Upholstery

Inside, this amazing S2000 is every bit as clean as the outside. The black leather interior looks untouched, the seats like they've never been sat in. Also, everything here is stock and original, including the radio. And that's not something you see a lot these days.

Not Neglected

The engine bay is simply immaculate as well, something you'd also expect from such a low-mile car. The seller included all the maintenance records with the sale, which is a good thing, obviously. Sometimes, low-mile cars are neglected as a result of their lack of use, but that doesn't appear to be the case here.

Drive and Enjoy

Though we'll never really understand why people don't drive their S2000s, it is nice to see such a clean example go to a great new home. It's clear that the new owner is thrilled with his purchase, and intends to drive and enjoy it. And ultimately, that's the most important takeaway here.
