Spocom Anaheim Brings Major Heat to City That Disney Built

Two Coverages In One

We're smack in the middle of the hottest part of the year for car shows, and the sheer number of options is simply incredible. Especially if you live in Southern California. Spocom's annual Anaheim meet was so big this year that Super Street had to divide its coverage into two separate articles.

Divide and Conquer

Super Street quite literally divided up the show between two people, who shot tons of images and recorded their own thoughts about what they saw. And that included, of course, plenty of top-notch Honda builds.

Nice Mix

As we've come to expect from Spocom, that bunch included just about every style you can think of, from VIPs to exotics to '90s classics sitting right next to each other in long, linear rows.

Top-Notch

There were also loads of notable vendors, which means they also brought along their top-notch booth cars for us to drool over. Crowds responded accordingly, flooding the halls in enormous quantities.

Thirsty for Rides

That may not seem like a surprise given how many gearheads live in SoCal. But even with three major events in the area in a span of a few months, it didn't seem to quell the crowd's thirst by any means.

Nonstop Growth

Attendance at Spocom continues to grow, despite the many other awesome shows out there vying for attention. That's a testament to both the quality of the event and the folks that live in the area.

Off-Road Obsessed

This year's Spocom even featured a whole row of off-road vehicles, which is certainly something new. It seems that the overlanding craze is catching on everywhere.

Forget about Disneyland, which sits mere blocks away from the convention center where Spocom took place. The real magic lies within this building, not with the giant mouse.

Yes, for one day at least, the iconic entertainment company can't overshadow the local car scene. But we won't judge if you chose to also indulge in the happiest place on earth, too.
