Modified Beauty

Modified collector cars are often a mixed bag, as most collectors would prefer that these sorts of vehicles are left bone stock. However, in the world of the S2000, modifications are quite common, mainly because these cars are perfect blank canvases that look great and perform well with the right mix of upgrades. Case in point - this supercharged AP1 that recently crossed the block at Bring a Trailer.

Low Miles

With a sales price of just $36,750, this particular AP1 sold for less than it would cost to replicate if nothing else. That makes it a great deal for the new owner, who will have a turnkey custom to drive and enjoy. It also has just 19k miles on the clock, which is pretty amazing too.

Sanitary Cabin

As such, this New Formula Red beauty is in fantastic shape and comes with both a soft and hard top, as well as a super sanitary black leather interior that is pretty much all original save for a Voodoo shift knob and some additional gauges added to the mix.

Healthy Upgrades

The same can't be said for what lies under the hood, however, as this car's F20C powerplant has been upgraded with a Vortech supercharger, a Koyorad aluminum radiator, and an Invidia header and test pipe. The seller didn't provide any sort of dyno numbers, but we imagine that it's pretty healthy in that regard, given the parts list.

Fully Serviced

That extra power flows through the factory six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential to the rear wheels for spirited performance, while the seller also provided a comprehensive list of recent service that has been performed on the car.

Other Mods

On the outside, this particular S2000 has received some modifications as well, including xenon headlights, dual exhaust tips, an aftermarket front spoiler and side skirts, bronze 17-inch Volk CE28N alloy wheels, 255/40 Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires, and a Comptech strut bar.

More Money?

Though the seller wasn't the original owner, this particular car had an original MSRP of $32k, making this sale a very solid one. In all fairness, it would likely have sold for more money if it wasn't modified, but those that appreciate such things will instead view it as a true bargain.
