This AP2 Looks Like an Inexpensive Track Build Candidate

It can be hard to find a reasonably-priced S2000 these days, but this one seems like a good value.

Solid Candidate

With S2000 prices rising rapidly, life can be difficult for enthusiasts who simply want something they can modify and take to the track. Even cars in bad condition are fetching big money, one of the few downsides to popularity in this case. But this AP2 that we came across for sale in the S2Ki Marketplace seems like a pretty good track build candidate with a price tag of just $13,500.

Engine Swap

Even the seller admits that this particular car is a good candidate for someone who wants to autocross or track the car, or simply modify it further. Much of that has to do with the work that's been done so far. The S2000 has 161k miles on the chassis, and 87k on the current engine and transmission, which was pulled from a donor car around 35k miles ago.

Guilt-Free Driving

The seller originally purchased the car as a rolling chassis after the seller damaged the stock drivetrain and pulled it. Thus, this car was a project from the beginning, and obviously won't ever be a super valuable collectible. But that also means that the new owner can take it out and enjoy it, guilt-free.

Religious Maintenance

Otherwise, this car is in pretty solid condition, from its Sebring Silver paint to its black interior. There is some minor wear, but nothing too off-putting. The soft top has been replaced, and the rest of the car has been "religiously" maintained, according to the seller, with zero mechanical issues to note.

Lots of Mods

The list of modifications made to this AP2 is also quite long. They include an EVS Tuning high-flow cat and oil pan baffle plate, Innovative differential mount, Renegade brass shifter bushing, and Ballade Sports stainless braided clutch line, as well as Endless brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, and a Hard Dog Fabrication roll bar, to name a few.

Exterior Upgrades

On the outside, this AP2 wears a slew of carbon fiber parts from APR including GT3 mirrors, exhaust caps, and front lip, a Seibon carbon fiber OEM-style hood, rolled fenders, a Honda decklid spoiler, and 2006/2007 AP2 wheels with Nexen Nfera SU1 tires.

Cup of Tea

Thus, this AP2 seems like a prime opportunity for someone to snag up and take to the track on the weekends for a little fun, then modify it as they hone their skills and want to go faster. And if that sounds like your cup of tea, you can find more info on the car and contact the seller by heading over here!
