Parts Sharing

The S2000 - as we already know - is a pretty amazing machine, one that's constructed from some pretty amazing parts. That's precisely why we've seen that car's mechanicals used in various other vehicles over the years, typically its engine, transmission, and even suspension components. But this 1972 Dodge Demon dreamed up by artist Abimelec Arellano and the folks at SpeedKore Performance borrows from Honda's roadster in more ways than that.

Unconventional Choices

SpeedKore is famous for making carbon fiber bodies for various vehicles, and that's precisely what this theoretical Demon would be equipped with as well, but "Krampus," as it's otherwise known, goes full bore with a host of cool custom bits and pieces, as well as an unconventional powertrain choice.

Honda Influence

That treatment starts on the outside, where the vintage Mopar muscle car wears custom front fenders that take inspiration from the famous Spoon S2000 widebody kit, rear fender flares, and blue Volk TE37 wheels wrapped in Toyo R888R tires.

JDM Heavy

Peek inside the cabin, and you'll find even more JDM influence in the way of an S2000 digital instrument cluster, as well as FK8 Civic Type R seats. The cabin is also adorned with a custom steering wheel and a dash covered in Alcantara.

Controversial Pick

Underneath a custom carbon fiber hood with Hellcat Redeye air intakes, one might expect to find a modern Mopar V8 of some sort, but you'd be totally wrong. Instead, this imaginary build is powered by a turbocharged Honda I-4, which would be certain to make it one of the more controversial builds on the planet if it actually came to life.

Interesting Idea

Krampus is certainly a fun exercise, if not one designed to stoke the fires of enthusiasts on both sides of the car world. Luckily for the folks that adore muscle cars, it isn't real, but this also isn't the first time we've seen classic American iron fitted with a Japanese powertrain, either.
