If you want to stand out from the crowd, stuffing a Dodge V10 into a pink Honda is certainly one way to do it.

Unusual Swap

When it comes to the Honda S2000, we've seen all sorts of builds of various degrees. Many of them are tasteful, others not so much. We've seen our fair share of engine swaps as well, but one thing we've never come across is a Dodge V10 powering one of these small roadsters. Until now, that is. Because this audacious pink AP1, built by Trønder Bataljonen Racing in Norway for Kristine Sandvik, is exactly that.

Sledge Hammer

Personally, we enjoy Honda's high-revving inline-four, but this S2000 forgoes finesse for more of a sledgehammer approach. And an 8.3-liter Dodge V10, in this case, one pulled from a Ram SRT-10 (same as the Viper) gets the job done. In its current guise, the large mill makes 506 hp and 542 lb-ft of torque without breaking a sweat.

Drift Machine

The monstrous motor is backed up by a T56 six-speed manual transmission, sending power back to a welded differential for strength. At this point, you're probably wondering why the owner would want to turn their Honda into a nose-heavy mess. And the answer, of course, is because this S2000 was built to drift.

Feed the Beast

And that's exactly what Sandvik likes to do in it. Thus, the Honda rides on adjustable D2 coilovers, with a custom angle kit and upgraded brakes. A custom fuel cell in the trunk provides the engine with plenty of 98 octane fuel (which it obviously burns through quickly) using two Bosch 044 pumps.

Attention Seeker

A widebody kit helps fit larger wheels and tires underneath this S2000 as well, not to mention help it look a bit more intimidating. Bright pink paint and pink neon lighting underneath help it garner a little more attention at the track (or perhaps while cruising to local meets) as if the bellowing exhaust note doesn't do a good job of that already.

Double Threat

The show quality build also has some functional and safety upgrades including a hydraulic handbrake, full fire suppression system, and a Koyo radiator. It's a nice mix of show and go, in a car that can win trophies both at car shows and various drift events.

Fun Machine

It's easy to dismiss this S2000 build as silly or pure heresy, but we can understand why the owner wanted it this way. And in the end, it sure looks like their dream was realized. Plus, we bet that it's also a total riot to send it around a track sideways, with tires ablaze!
