Default Potenza RE002 on 16s

From a recommendation from Lovegroova, I've just put a new set of Potenza RE002s on my MY00 car.

For all of you still on 16s (and who remember the OEM S02JZ), you will all know that the car is much less fun the car is on RE050s, Eagle F1s etc. And the only choice was to put up with it or wreck your ride comfort with a set of 17s.

Not any more On the RE002 the back end feels planted again, the sidewall is hard enough to give you great turn in and the whole set up promotes a lot of confidence. Not only that but these things are pretty cheap too - £337 delivered for a full set from Mytyres.co.uk

Let's hope Bridgestone keep making these for many years to come

I'll try them when mine run out. Only just put a set of Bridgestone S-02's on last month.

The RE002's are what the market as the Potenza Adrenalin aren't they? I was looking at these to replace my current rubber, seen good reviews in several places. Think my mind is made up, they're coming next once the dreaded alignment has been taken care of

Hun? They stopped making these many years ago didn't they? Have you got a very old set (in which case be careful as they have a shelf life...)?

I have a set of 002's on the front (050's on the back) and agree that they seem very good indeed and were a relative bargain.

Probably the incorrect Porsche spec (as described in the FAQ).

Another piece of positive feedback about these tyres from me. On track i was amazed by these. They just don't seem to give up grip, with cold temp pressures set in the twenties i could stay out for as long as i dared without the tyres going significantly 'off'.

7,000 miles so far and there is still plenty of tread depth though i have severely feathered the outside edges
