Default Hardtop stand

So I'm putting my hardtop away for storage, as I finish putting it on the stand and cover it I noticed that I've been storing it upside down according to original design. So Ive always put it glass side down because it seemed right to put the heavy side down because top heavy objects fall over easier. Is there a reason Honda made the design glass side up, does it even matter?

I'm guessing there is, I feel safer storing my hardtop with the glass at the top. I think I've heard of the glass breaking by someone storing it upside down with one of the aftermarket stands.

glass is horrible at supporting nay kind of weight. just think of what you said....im storing it glass side down. i realize its the heavy part but he aluminum will support the weight much better than a curved-on-two-pnales piece of glass
