Default Keeping Car Clean During Drought

The subject says it all...

In a drought environment, how are you guys keeping your rides clean (or maybe you aren't)...

Definitely let both my cars run a lot more dirty since the drought. Most automatic and self-serve car washes recycle water, though. I wouldn't feel bad about using one of those.

I cut down to once a month now for washes. It helps that I have a Sebring silver as it tends to hide most surface dirt. In between washes, I'll still clean my windows and wipe down the interior as needed. If I get a blemish like bird poop or something I'll spray it with water and wipe it off. It helps if your car has a good foundation like sealants and waxes. Also the best defense against getting dirty is to find a good place to park it.

Waterless car wash works wonders. If you do it once a week it works good.
If you let your car get really dirty it doesn't work so well.

Here is the stuff I use.

I haven't washed my car for almost a month and its fairly dusty (luckily its garaged at home and work), I'm thinking about washing it this weekend and applying sealant on it. Looking at the Turtle Wax Ice Sealant (suppose to last one year), was wondering if i need to put a layer of wax on top of the sealant too or if I can even do that?

You don't need to apply wax after sealant. It's usually one or the other. I wouldn't believe that it lasts 1 year. But I haven't kept up with stuff lately.

For best results, I would clay the car and polish it prior to applying sealant but you don't need to.

Hope that makes sense.

I've been letting my go a bit. I did put a car cover on while it's been in the garage here but it only does so much, As long as I'm not washing our vehicles more than once a month for each vehicle I won't feel bad. We cut back in every other way possible including how often we even run our dishwasher.

Waterless car wash sounds like waterless swirl marks.
Am I wrong?
