Not done much to the car lately and not driven it much either but today I decided to machine polish the car as the swirls were annoying me. To do the job I used 3 different grades of pads along with 3 different grades of cutting compounds and finished off with a couple coats of canuba wax.
It's not perfect but better than it was.

Bit of an update:
Decided to change the spring retainers as they are known to crack with age, seeing the engine had done 130k miles I thought it was also worth changing the stem seals at the same time.
The retainers fitted to the 04MY onward engines are slightly thicker and stronger so I decided to opt for these instead of going back to the pre 04MY ones.
New vs Old
Fitting:
The job took about 6 hrs from start to finish.
Also managed to pick up a pair of facelift head lights cheap, the drivers side needed a polish however the passenger side was damaged and also had some staining inside the light so I had to remove the len cover to clean it up.
Bit of time spent with a heat gun and slowly managed to remove the lens.
Some of the clips and brackets were also broken so I did a bit of a bodge job on them so hopefully they will be ok.
Drivers side pre polish.
