Default Hellhawk? Trackhawk?

Looks like it's coming with at least 707 hp. Interesting.

Yup. The guys at Jeep are getting a pretty good line up.

SRT 392 475 $65K
SRT HC 707 $80k

I mean those are pretty good prices for the performance. After tracking the Jeep SRT I was impressed. If it had a 3rd row I would consider it.

Eventually, a big enough vehicle moving fast enough has the same momentum as the projectile from a sixteen-inch naval gun... and with similar results.

The only thing that would make this interesting is the AWD system - and even then, they mention that they would probably detune the motor to keep from breaking the AWD system.

I guess that's the new american recipe. Just let size/weight bloat to ridiculous levels, then apply even more ridiculous levels of power so it can still go fast.

This. I have always seen the SRT8 Jeep as pointless. Probably fun, but for the price, pointless. I still fail to see how only having gobs of horsepower is somehow a good formula for sales. It's mind blowing how that is all it takes to entertain some people.

It's not like they depend on the SRT sales to keep the company afloat. They hot rodded a Jeep to please themselves and hot rodders alike. What's the problem here? 700hp in anything is nothing to facepalm about, unless of course you're just a downer.

Best reaction I can come up with is "meh".

Never been a Jeep guy.. probably never will. 700hp in something like this just doesn't turn me on.

I don't understand the reasoning behind everybody just wanting to slap all this horsepower in mediocre cars just to make them "fun" or "cool".

The snob factor is strong with you guys. You don't have to buy one. It's pretty cool they are making it.

Having tracked an jeep SRT the performance is shockingly good for an SUV
