Yes, aluminum hood.

Looking for a later model S2K w/ a hardtop and came across this Thats local to me. I think its a good price but just wanted a second opinion. I plan on checking the under carriage and what not at the dealer, and a PPI as well if cosmetically everything matches up. Based on the Carfax mileage per owner, looks like the first and third owner daily drove the car for the short time they owned it.

I know this dealer, and they aren't the best (but not bad either). I had looked at a 2008 last year (Laguna blue) that sat on their lot for a long time. I was hammered - mechanically and cosmetically - and they were asking far too much for it. This one looks decent (from the pics), but the photos were taken while the car was dirty - inside and out. Go over it carefully and test drive it. The inside looks fairly worn, but it could just be that it needs cleaning.

With the hardtop included, it's not a bad price. Just make sure the soft top is in good shape and if not, DO NOT let them change it. They put a new top on the 2008 I looked at last year and it was a terrible install. The service manager noted he replaced it and when I drove it, the glass rattled against the roll hoops and wasn't aligned properly on the bars when closed.

Is that really Berlina Black? I'm seeing some purple on my end.

Also, check the front bumper, it doesn't quite line up with the passenger side headlight at the very least. See if anything happened there.

Yea it does look like a metallic purple, a very dark purple but purple nonetheless.

Thats definetly not Berlina Black. I thought it might have just been the camera, but in later shots the color balance seems pretty spot on. Its possible its a wrap job. I'd take a look at the point between the door and the door jams to see if theres anything that looks like Vinyl. The door jams look closer to BB however theres only one picture and its still hard to tell

Howdy! I'm about to buy a 2001 S2K w/Vortech SC, settling on $20,500 tomorrow. I'll spare the retyping, I posted a similar thread on FT86 Club --> https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139110

Hello there!

Long time lurker, first time poster. Very close to pulling the trigger on an S2000 and would like opinions on one I drove today. Asking 19k Firm.

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=518950105

Besides a rear caliper that scrapes the rotor a bit, the car was incredibly clean and very smooth in terms of engine feel and feedback. The listing doesn’t specify which modifications but it had the following:
Tien Coilovers/EDFC, K&N Filter (in original air box), Neuspeed X-brace, and small amp/6CD Changer is trunk (will remove).

The car is at a smaller used car lot, bought off of an auction. Two previous owners, with the first driving ~60k of the 64k total miles.

I was hoping for more of a stock AP1, but the cleanliness of this one (inside and out) has me wondering if I look beyond these mods.

There is no budge on price - what are your thoughts?

Thank you in advance!

How bad was the accident and what kind of repairs were needed? Clean title?
