Final London S2000 Ace Cafe Summer Meet - Sun 2nd Aug *

Same! Thanks Kim for organising what must have been the biggest one yet. Definitely a lot of people walk in off the street to have a look around. Good to see a proper JDM presence as well.
Looking forward to next years!

Well what can I say. Once everyone got through the traffic, we pretty much had a full house, 50 s2000s.
It was a fantastic event, with weather to die for and gorgeous cars too. Thank you to everyone who came from
all over the UK and in one gentlemans case, Japan?
Highlights from yesterday include the resurgence of Hendy Simon's S2000 which is back on home soil and looking very well.
There was hardly any dirty cars and talking of which, it was lovely to see Floppy return with his newly acquired S2000 and his little companion too.
We finally got to see Phil's Spoon S2000 after the unfortunate crash a very long time ago and it is indeed a very different beast now.
We had about 6 S2000s who aren't on the forum who came to the meet too which was nice.
Yesterday went well without incident and from all angles the meet was busy, happy and relaxed.
I finally managed to meet Fatbloke and a few new faces who I am expecting to join the
forum shortly.
Awards on the night:
Best in show - 4x4 Freak for his amazing spoon cladded S2000 which was simply the best car there.
Cleanest Car - Sombra for his spotless berlina black S2K
Filthiest Car - Floppy - shame on you Alex
Best Modified - Masamichi-san for his moonrock S2000 which was beautifully and cleverly modified
Best Standard - SZ0005 - Lovely example of a standard moonrock s2000
I was inadvertently awarded the best ace cafe organiser of the year by Soupdragon and Tinyclanger which I humbly thank you guys for
Even though I was stressed at times, I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's meet and I hope you did too.
Next year will see some improvements, starting with a megaphone and of course better event sponsors.
I will be messaging cleanest car and best in show winners to send out the special prizes.
Coverage of the night was by Chris Presley and there is a chance that we might be featured in Banzai Magazine again.
Pictures can be seen on Facebook here or further down this page for those who don't have facebook :

If you have any pictures, please do share them with us here.
Thanks once again everyone and see you again next May 2016!
PS - I have submitted the dates for next year and will post up when confirmed early 2016.

There was one disappointment, Kim; no 'most bizarre facial adornment' award for Chipphomo? It's a travesty!
That man selflessly wears what appears to be a worn out bog brush on his chops, just to make others laugh. Surely that deserves some recognition?
