Default Nanoskin vs Clay bar

Hi, has anyone used nanoskin before? Can you share your experience?

Knowing that it takes the average person 15-30mins on a sedan style car...it would take us S2K owners less than that since our cars are significantly smaller.

I searched this forum and found this but it kind of died out with no updates or what not...

Anyone have pictures of before and after with nanoskin?

Edit: I've heard of marring if you don't use enough QD or lube.

I purchased the 6" medium grade for my DA. I also have the wash mitt but I have not used it yet.
I cannot find any negatives to the Nanoskin. I'm more upset that I haven't bought one sooner because of all the wasted time using the traditional clay bar.
Results are the same if not better in less time. A quick detailer is a must for keeping the surface wet. Water will not work.
I will hopefully use the mitt before the end of the season. I would assume it works just as good, plus you wouldn't have to get out a DA, extension cord, etc.

Good luck!

Thanks man and good luck to you as well! Hope it turns out better than expected AND more!

I just noticed on the other thread that was posted in 2012 ( https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/946...kin-autoscrub/ ), there is a picture of the guy using it on the windows. Would it be safe to say I wouldn't need to use another window cleaner? ie. stoners http://www.amazon.com/Stoner-Invisib.../dp/B008UYMPRE

you will still need a glass cleaner to clean up all that lubricant, we are still using this system in the shop and the guys love it, cuts down time by at least 30%.

you can pick them up here and use the forum code.

I liked the Nanoskin but still prefer using a traditional claybar for the real tough stuff.

I tried nanoskin a few weeks back but still needed the traditional clay bar for some tough spots.

I just ordered another mothers kit from amazon. I'll probably just stick with the clay bar going forward.

I almost purchased the nanoskin for my DA polisher but backed out at the last second. I still haven't gotten all of my "clean" prep habits down 100%, aka impurities in my microfiber towels, etc. I'm afraid I'll have an impurity on the car that the nanoskin will "grab" and move across the paint, making a scratch in the clear. Maybe I'm just paranoid. It's not like my S doesn't already have scratches so I'm not sure why I'm so worried about it... but it was just something I was afraid of, being a novice
