Default 2016 CRV Black Edition

Just thought I would let people know about a good deal for a new CRV...

Car on the road cost is £29,999
But Honda UK are offering 0% APR for 3 years (only £199 a month for BRAND NEW CRV)

Specification is the same as an ES model but has the following extras FREE
19" alloys
Sport pack (front sport grill and rear spoiler)
Kick plates
Sat Nav (not sure this standard on ES)
FULL leather interior
and 5 years FREE servicing

Absolute BARGAIN !

Oh and only available in BLACK.

Tempted myself...

...with a 22 bag balloon on the end if it if you're only paying seven bag!

NOT; the car will be worth 40% of fuck all at three years.

Negative equity unless it's a rental lease, which would prove they can't give them away anymore, can they?

You didn't mention the £10k deposit you have to stump up in the first place.

For me it sounds great.

I just give my old CRV as deposit and then pay £199 a month.
I currently put £150 into a savings account every month with the view of replacing the CRV in the future.

This means I have to keep the CRV for 5 years to save up £10,000 to put down on a newer CRV.
That saved up £10,000 plus the value of my current CRV after another 3 years will probably be £7,000 (ish).
I then get to purchase a 2nd hand CRV in the region of £17,000.

Whereas paying £199 a month (only £50 more) I get a brand new car every 3 years.
AND I get to spend the money I have saved up in my savings account

And I get 5 years servicing included so no need to save money for that.

Hmmmmmm

What use is 5 years free servicing if you only keep the car for 3?

in reality the cost is your £10k deposit (your CRV in this case) plus 36 x £199 = £7,164

assuming you stick within 10k miles you've paid £17,164 over 3 years for a CRV, you still owe £13k on that car which is about what it's worth according to a very quick browse of autotrader

so in 3 years time you have no equity and unless you stump up £13k no fackin car?

how do you get your new one in 3 years?

i'm missing something

If you buy a 3 year old CRV for £13k and then sell it 3 years later for £6k you are £10k better off than you would have been buying a new one

If you must have a new one, then I'd have a look at leasing deals. A broadly similar standard SE with Nav and DASP works out at about £14,400 on a 3+36 deal. That's nearly 3k less than you'd be paying for the PCP.

My M3 cost me ballpark that for 3 years (rough guesstimate)

Edit to say with that i have to beat them off with a shitty stick (thieves that is ha ha)
