on diagnostics i have the S2000 PGM tool being a bit of a collector of tat.. not used it for yonks, car is way too reliable.. eek

Think I might tackle this, this morning.. Seems its full of crud (the levelling device on the rear arm) and obviously it was never properly protected from the elements. Not one of Hondas best ideas I have to say. I had the sane issue on my Accord Type R, but that unit was on the drivers side but still bare and easily weathered.
Wire brush and lube, hoping it will spring to life
