Philly Drive Interest Thread

Bump/update After looking over a couple different routes, I think I am going to stick to the original plan for now. Work has gotten a little crazy and I have not really had time to map or drive any other routes. We will be headed essentially straight up the river, and ending in Easton. I will finalize the exact route soon. I took a quick drive up a section of the road and it is beautiful, should be a great drive.
Any suggestions let me know!

I couldn't find my document for the route, but last time we did a big drive down here, we started on the NJ side, and did the little roads that go back and forth between 29 and 579, so up Church, down Fiddlers Creek, up Pleasant Valley, down Valley. Adds some small little twisties vs. straight up 29 or 32. They're all between 95 and Lambertville/New Hope.
Even going up 579, then staying East of the Delaware gives some options, Seargentsville, Pittsown, Kingswood. Eventually you get to 78/22 to cross over.. I don't map them when I drive them, I just keep turning until it's time to go home, then find either the river, Rt 31, 202 or 206 to head back south.
On the PA side, we haven't used the old squirrel nuts route in probably 10 years. Don't remember much of that either, but it involved Stump, Eagle, Aquatong and other roads. However, the destination when done was often down at Longwood Gardens so a general South and West route.

I lived in Peddler's village in the 1990s. Eagle road is a decent way to get from New Town to 202. You can take Durham to Pipersville and then either Dark Hollow rd. down to the River or Go up 611 to Ottsville and take Geigle Hill down to the river. Geigle Hill is probably twistier. At that point, you're above most of the crowded towns along the river. It should be fairly clear to Rieglesville. River Road merges back into 611 just below Riegelsville. From there, it's 611-River Road to Easton. Only a couple of towns between Rieglesville and Easton.

Going to drive some routes this weekend, on saturday maybe sunday. I'll make sure the roads are low car friendly and that there is no unexpected road work. If any one wants to join let me know.
