Shin-Etsu Silicone grease, anyone use this?
In the owner's manual, it says "Every three to six onths, depending on how often the top is folded, rub a thin film of Shin-Etsu silicone grease (available from your Honda dealer, P/N 08798-9013) onto the seals wherever they touch the convertible top or each other."
Has anyone used this? I was thinking about just using Aerospace 303 Proctectant. However about both? Anybody know?

the shin-etsu grease is pretty expensive and is very similar to other products out there that are less expensive. there is one brand that xviper recommended but i forgot the name, pm him and ask away.

This shin-etsu rules the world. A tube of the stuff cost 12 bucks or something. From H&A. Think its $16 at a dealer. It works awesome. I use it ever season. The tube they give ya is really large and a little of this grease goes a long way. A tube will last ya 4 to 5 years. Its great for the hard top seals.

fudge...i guess i'll go buy some? I'm just afraid i'm applying too much crap onto the seals, since I'll also be applying aerospace 303 protectant...and also shin-etsu grease, that's a lot of crap on the seals.

Careful applying it, or you'll have a mess. Rub some all over the seals, wait maybe 30 minutes, then rub off any that hasn't been absorbed. If you don't do this, you might end up with gunk on your windows.....
