After my left ballast and lights were replaced after an accident i had (AP1), they did not keep them at the same level and the right headlight is about 2-3 inches higher up. How do i adjust the left one? TIY.

remove the wheel, undo the finder lining and then you will have access to the head light.

yea do you mean 2-3 inches higher than the left, or 2-3 inches higher than it was before. the beam patterns are not supposed to be level with each other.

your headlights are exactly as they are supposed to be. do not adjust them as you cannot adjust the "notch" out. the left side is supposed to be a bit lower than the right. and in fact, it has nothing to do with how they are pointed. the "notch" is physically built into both headlights, so it's not something you can "take out".

These headlights have been purposely mis-adjusted, so you can see how they work. Once correct, they will resemble the "correct" pic

Absolutely not! The adjuster is fully accessible from inside the engine bay. Theres a cutout in each fender, and the star wheel adjuster is there. Use a long philips screwdriver to reach.

As "Wis" said, there is a step pattern built into each lense, with the left side being lower than the right. You can still align the beams to fairly even, but you'll never be able to dial out the step.

i remember when i first got the car they were almost perfectly even and now its a noticable difference where as the right is a few inches higher. would 2-3 inches be too much or should i just not worry and forget about it?
