TOKOYO, Feb 5 (Reuters) Eight crew members were rescued when a car carrier sank off the couthern coast of Japan on Monday.

The ship, the Shin-Nighiyomaru, sank off Kyushu some 900 km (560 miles) southwest of Tokyo, coastguard officials said.

This is REALLY not funny. My car is supposedly enroute from Japan for the next two weeks...... Time to call the Dealer.

Ouch... I really hope there were no S2K's on there. I can't stomach the thought of Stooks descending into the deep, dark cold water. Accords, Civics... Especially Odessy's - No problem. Sucks, but they are replaceable. But Stooks? That's horrible. Any way to find out? I sure hope no-one on this board waiting for a car had theirs meet this fate.

For all of those hoping this will become a limited and someday collectors car, the odds just got a teeny bit better. (that is if any S2000's were on board).

if they were some stooks watch some dealers taking advantage
by the way the meet on saturday was """awsome""

My new S2K was on that ship. The dealer called and says that it will be recovered and dried out in no time. j/k
