Default My AFI Turbo Build

Well here it goes. As some of you may know I was SOS Supercharged and before that I had an Ultimate Racing kit. I was disappointed in the numbers that I made and decided to go the route that I never wanted to. So this is were I ended up. I recently bought this kit from GPWAP1 S2K and I sold my SOS kit to RAIN H8R. The kit was like new as it had never been ran just mocked up on his car. Thanks to RAIN H8R for all of the time and effort he is putting into this project with me.

Car is not quite done yet but it should be soon. I have had to do a lot of mods to get this thing to fit but hopefully in the end it will be worth it. I had to relocate the battery to the trunk, reroute the A/C lines, and run all of the wiring on the passenger side to the fender well. Here is the list of parts.

GT3582R .70 A/R Compressor side
ATP Heat Shielding
AFI Twin scroll tubular manifold
AFI 3" v-band downpipe
AFI external dumptubes
AFI 800WHP intercooler w/ Garrett 24x12x3.5 core
AFI 2.75" powdercoated charge piping
Tial 38MM MVS wastegates (2)
Tial 50MM BOV
Koyo Radiator w/ Slim fan
Samco Hose's
RC 750's (for now)
Walbro 255
Vented valve cover w/ -12 an fittings (not pictured)
Plus a lot more stuff to make it work

On to the pics!

Fram Filter just for test purposes. ONly one dump tube still working on fitment

I will try to keep this updated as things progress. I hope to get it running sometime in the next week or so.

Thanks fellas! gt30r, I see in your sig you have a gt40. I was thinking of going that route and special ordering one from AFI but decided to stay with the gt35 for more street use. How is it with the gt40?

I am concerned about a divided .70 housing. I didn't think you could get a T4 divided housing on a GT35 any smaller than a 1.06? My 1.06 divided housing is causing a lot of back pressure at higher rpms on my low compression AP1 motor with AP1 cams. Interested to see how your topend does.

Can you get some underside pics of the downpipe? I want to see how much clearance you have for the oil filter and where the other wg is

Also interested in some pics of the manifold. Is it braced?
