Thumbs up Aftermarket Steering Hub Question

I recently bought a NRG short hub but I want to make sure the horn button works before I finish the job but I have a problem. I know there are some DIY mods that will allow the horn button to work but it just doesn't seem like something I would like to run.

So here is my question................

Does anyone know the OEM Honda part # for other vehicles a factory metal "thingy" that screws into the OEM holes where the SRS reel use to go?

I know there is a select number of you guys that run aftermarket wheels but I would love your input. I tried searching and found nothing so far............. I would of posted this in the UNDER THE HOOD section but these types of questions hardly get answered, so I turn to my SoCal Community for help.

Thanks!

good question, i know the part used for DC2 integras and EG civics was from a 88 crx or something like that. It's called a shoe horn and is p/n 35259-SH3-A02. dunno if it's thats what you're asking about or if it's even the same for the S....

Thanks Chris!

I've heard the same but I'm trying to narrow it down to what vehicle it might be off of. I think you are on to the right track...... Just gotta find out what will work.

Keep it coming guys

Shoe horn is what its called and I'm sure its not a S2000 part number but it will work.

Interested in finding out if this work.... I did the modid with a copper wire touching the back of the hub but I got a lil lazy and sometimes it doesn't touch the hub...it usually happens when I actually need to use the horn and when I don't it works perfectly

if it fits, don't forget to put some type of electrical lube on the back of the hub and on the shoe horn so it doesn't make an annoying metallic scraping sound when you turn the wheel!
