Seems like a good thing to delete, dead weight that it is. I wonder how much it does weigh?

Has anyone done the resistor trick he mentiones in the thread?

Bugger, wish I could get rid of mine, I reckon the whole system will weight around 15kg. If one was for sale id buy one, I think there's more to it than you initially think for example the airpump can go on and off depending on coolant temperature.

MB removed his maybe he's knows the true weight of the whole system.

I'd guess about 5kg.

It's not a big unit, but there's some piping bits which can be removed too.

how have you removed yours Mark? is it possible because you have a different ECU?

Yes, the AEM EMS doesn't use it so it's been removed. I'd have to put it back if I ever put the OEM ECU back in otherwise there'd be a CEL every time I started the car up.

I'm not sure if the J's / Mugen / Spoon ECU uses it though?

5KG, i thought the whole kit was more than, oh well.

Just a guess AJ.

The pump itself didn't feel like more than a bag of sugar, plus a few bits and bobs.
