Default Passenger Rear Quarter Panel

Does anyone know if the passenger rear quarter panel can be removed easily? Or does this require a body shop's help due to cutting and welding? I backed into a parking structure pillar today at the Providence Portland parking structure.

Phong! That's where I work! Haha.

Unfortunately the rear quarter panels are not removable. If its not too bad you might be able to have a dent puller smooth out the quartet panel.

Ira, what are you doing there? What days do you work? It's pretty bad man. I'm afraid it's gonna cost a couple of grand.

A qp can be replaced, I have had it done on a few of the cars that I have rebuilt. Its pretty expensive to have done(1500 or so) and you need a whole a rear section 1/4 from mid door back.

Thanks for the response guys. The quarter panel is roughly a little under 600 bucks for the part only. The body shop I went to had it listed for 21 hours of labor for replacing it. Now factor in the painting and it adds up quick. I didn't know the taillight can be so expensive...almost as much as a damn rear bumper cover.

Mike I have photos on my phone. Do you have a facebook account? I have sent you some photos through messenger.

I've gone to some other body shop and they said quarter panel is fixable...so the final bill tally will drop considerably.

I'd file it on comprehensive or collision on your insurance. The rate hike will be less in the end. I had to do this when some kid keyed my quarter panel on another car. Total cost was 1600, I paid 250 deductible and I think 10 more a month for less than a year.
