Default Stock Internals, how much power can they hold?

Hey all.

I just read some where that F20C standard motor can hold 400rwhp reliably, daily driven.

Is this true? Are any of you FI guys running stock internals? How much power are you making and have you had any problems?

It all depends on how concervitive your tune is, how you drive the car..............

As Corey mentioned when done right they can handle quite a bit of power.

Cool, so 250rwkw with a good tune shouldn't be an issue?

AFAIK, there has been yet to be an engine failure from excessive horsepower (torque). There have been plenty failures from bad tunes, oil issues, driver error and other abusive behavior, but not one from hitting the limit of the engine...

If god built an engine, it would be an F20/22 lol

My friend is running about 650hp on completely stock motor not a single problem. You'll break diffs if you're not careful though. Anything under 400 i wouldn't worry at all.

Cool, thanks for the info.

So a pretty much stock motor isn't going to get too hurt hitting VTEC day in and day out?

Not that that is how I drive my car, however I probably do hit VTEC more than the average person.

As long as you check your oil more than the average person you should be good.
