My friend Jim spotted this out and about today in RI MA. Looks like at least one dealership is taking them for 'evaluation' joyrides. Only 6000 will be imported at first, and they're not on sale 'til May.

EDIT: Photo was taken at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood, MA.

Nice! A local dealership had one on display for a bit. It's been sent elsewhere already I think. One of the guys here went and got some pics.

He's a big guy (like 6' 3") and said he'd fit pretty comfortably. The only complaint I have so far is that they went 5x100 on the wheels :X

Too many doors.

It only has 2! Would you prefer to weld them shut? (Also, isn't that Erick's line?)

Yeah, my friend who took the picture said "Now they need to trade the roof for a Turbo."

No drop top = no interest in our house. Unless, of course, we could afford more than one toy.

Yeah, that's generally my opinion, too. The S is the first and only convertible my wife or I have ever owned, and while a driving enthusiast would rightly argue that the additional rigidity of the fixed roof means a better chassis, it's not enough of a margin to make a difference for me. I really like the convertible aspect of the S2000.

Looks sharp in that color too... I don't think I would want to own one still, but I would like to drive one...Posted Image

I definitely agree there. I'm hoping that driving into the Subaru/Scion dealership in an S2000 will give me enough credibility for a test drive, even if I have no intention of buying one.

And after the test drive, I'll say "Swap the roof for a turbo, and you'd have a deal!"

Rumor mill states this car was built from the ground up to be a drop top.
