Forest Lane Cruise Reunion - North Dallas
For any of you who grew up in Dallas in the late 60's through the 70's, you know that cruising Forest Lane was an amazing experience. Some guys last summer organized a reunion and are doing it again this year. This is your chance to see some of the finest street autos in all of North Texas: muscle cars, hot rods, exotics, imports...everything you can imagine. Back in the day, Forest Lane was a major drag strip, but this is NOT a street race reunion and will be heavily monitored by Dallas Police so watch your speed and alcohol. The cops were there last year and very cool...probably enjoying it as much as all the participants. It's a chance to see and cruise and enjoy the sights. The major gathering spots will be all along Forest Lane parking lots between Cromwell Drive and Marsh Lane in North Dallas. Here's the facebook post for all updates as well as a website and some pictures from last year.

Hoods will be up. There'll be live music in a couple of places, the event is free and you'll be hanging out with well over 300 cars. Also, there will be a bumper to bumper slow cruise along the 4 mile stretch of Forest Lane around 10pm but you'll definitely want to come late afternoon or early evening to reserve a parking spot. All you photographers will want to bring your cameras! Food trucks will be setup, there's lots of fast food spots available and beer coolers are cool. The organizers are just asking that everyone be respectful of the property and take out whatever you bring in so the merchants will welcome everyone back each year.
