This happens when I unplug the passenger switches. The driver's side switch will make the window go down but not come back up.

I found this out on Sunday when I was fiddling withy speakers. Not sure why it would do it with the passenger switch too. Maybe worth cleaning the contacts on the plug that fits into the back of the passenger switch?

It's a thought.

Try ctrl+alt+del the battery terminals too in case it's had a brain fart?

Sorted!! Turned out to be bent pins on the pass window switch which effected every other switch!!

Thanks for all your help though!

I'm now having the same issue!... Passenger window goes up by itself but doesn't roll down. I can only roll it down from my driver side controls but that's only when I unplug the passenger window switch. once I plug the passenger switch right back the window goes up by itself. It could be the same problem *pdtrewern* ^^^ (member) had with the bent pins , since I did take off the door panel a few times while detailing and removing the mirror. Has anyone else had similar problems but found the issue and fixed it ? Please comment below if so ... I need help finding this problem.

Till then I'll continue my search on the boards. Thanks guys

Not much of a bump, but also getting this myself.
Replaced driver(RHD) outer window seal yesterday, windows all fine.
Today, installed OEM floor mats(cutting involved here... so please tell me I've not cut something under the carpet...!!??) and went to put the roof up, and it DID bring the window down, but the driver/passenger switches do nothing. What's that mean?

Will do my own thread as well.

Thanks in advance. . .

(Will go check pins. And pull the battery...if that's wise)?

After doing a lot of searching, seems that Windows Off Child-Lock thingy catches a hell of a lot of people out! lol. Got me, but, when I switched it back 'ON' - passenger window from drivers control would only go down, not up. Maybe because I had taken the passenger door card off? With the switch? Put the passenger window switch back on, and all working fine again. ha ha. Good luck!
