Default Newly installed vortech v3 very loud question

I recently installed the v3 vortech supercharger on my 2008 s2000 and when we went to start it up, the idle is VERY loud. The sound is similar to the idle of a diesel truck. If there is anyone that can give me and insight as to what may cause it would be greatly appreciated! One thing to note is that the oil on the supercharger has not been changed for a year and it may be at a lower level than required, would that be a reason why the supercharger is so loud? Because its not being properly lubricated?

I'll post a video of it later. Also, since i bought the kit used i don't have the vortech reflash for the flash pro. Would it be safe to drive to the tuner with the base supercharger 650cc injector map? I have 1000cc injectors...

You be able to unscrew the dipstick to check the fluid level.

Flash pro has a ID1000 base map calibration. Use that to drive to the tuner and stay out of boost, if that's possible with a supercharger....assuming you have id1000's.

I used it to drive my car to the tuner (turbo setup) and it works fine and is safe for partial throttle.

Cant really tell from the video but if its making a rattling metal sound then its normal. Yours sounds like alot of whooshing air or something. Is the by pass valve open at idle?
