Terrible for Manos at least he was not hurt.. Your S2000 would never be stolen at gun point in the US, most of the people cannot drive manual transmission. The thieves abandoned an attempt at this a couple of weeks ago here because the car was a manual transmission.

In some states you can legally carry one at all times. Not in Maryland where I live.

 

My small town has virtually no crime because most of the police for my area live in my town. Every street has at least one police officer living there and frequently more than one. In addition almost every house has shotguns and rifles in it because everyone hunts deer, turkey, geese, etc.
