Default car storage

hey again!

i may need to store my car through the winter months. i would like to know if u have any recommendations?!

i was told of a new storage facility on brighton road near like braddock hills. i assume i just seek temperature-controlled and gated, right? any other aspects? here in orlando, we don't have 2 worry about this kinda stuff, especially because i am moving from a nice big garage 2 no garage

Tina, I wouldn't recommend that area. And I don't think you need heated. What area are you moving to and I'll help you find something.

thanx jumpy! my friend recommended it b/c he said it is super-gated!

i am moving 2 the churchill area. i know this sounds dumb, but i may agree w/u on the heat thing b/c i need 2 ensure NO SPIDERS can possibly touch the car!

No worries, the spiders in Churchill wear coats!! I store my car in a warehouse that stores boats all winter. Problem is it's about an hour from Churchill. Good part is he charges like $200.00 for the entire winter season.

Forgot to mention that you can buy a very inexpensive insurance policy to cover the storage in case of damage due to fire, theft etc.

Tina, I agree with Maury. You probably want to check elsewhere for storage. Just about every business left in Braddock Hills has security bars on the windows. "Super-Gated" means nothing to someone who wants in. If they are too lazy to break in, they will just wait for you to come out. Plus, "Super-Gated" means an extra barrier for firefighters. Fires are common in that area.

My car is stored all winter in a regular garage. I really don't think climate controlled storage is necessary. The biggest thing to look for in storage is a dry location. Dampness will not be friendly to your car.
