The convertible top

Just discovered a hole in the top of my 2001 S. The top will need to be replaced. Obviously a Honda dealer would be the first choice, but I was wondering if there might be an alternative within a 35 mile circle of Pittsburgh? I'm located in southern Washington County . PM if that is the correct way of doing this here.
Many thanks
StanW

I found a hole in mine last year, and thankfully my insurance payed for the entire job. I too originally took it to the Honda dealership, but big surprise, OEM tops no longer exist. Baierl Honda referred me to the guy below, who i ended up using, and was EXTREMELY happy with the result. The work was solid and reasonably fast. I think he only had the car for 2-3 days. It was ~$1600 as i recall.

How big is the hole? I had a small split form in my 03 (where they all happen in the corner) and patched it from the inside. I used a black marine fabric (I think that is what it was called) and some E6000 fabric adhesive (Walmart carries it for a few bucks).

I have tons of fabric left and would be more than happy to give you some for free if you want.

Many thanks to all. I may just try to patch it myself. You've all been a big help

GoreTex patch kit is maybe $10 at places like Dicks and other "outdoor" shops. The patches are black and one has been on a small hole in my roof for a couple of years.

I purchased my S with two repaIred spots that were professionally done. On the inside, there's a canvas patch and on the outside there's a small seam that's sealed. When that started to look worn, I put permatex black silicone sealant on the seam and smoothed it with my finger. That was a year ago. It still looks ok and keeps water out, even during automatic car washes.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

What's an automatic car wash?
