Default Need tires?

I know in the Spring I will be looking for tires as is Phil. Is anybody else in the market that maybe we could all buy from one place for a better price?

I'm already on this...

One of Bills routes takes him past "Tire Rack". If he can work it out to where he doesn't get fired ...maybe he can haul them back for us. Tire Rack may be able to cut us a better offer if he picks up a decent size load.

This may not happen...but it may be an option to look into.

I'm sort of looking at wheels as well, but I think I may put that off for another summer. But I desperately need tires. So I'm hep to this. I've got the shop to agree to figure out my alignment problem in the spring so that's covered. But baby needs new shoes before she can play anymore.

Are you referring to the new RE050A Pole Positions? I have been doing some research on them and from what I have read...they seem to be a better tire than the OEM RE050. The reviews and specs on Tire Rack rate this tire better than our OEMs. The only problem is that Bridgestone doesn't offer our front size of 215/45 in this tire. If you are interested in this tire, you will need to step up to the 225/45 front and increase the rear size to 255/40. I am planning on running this exact setup next spring. Judging by what I have read about these tires so far...the RE050A Pole Positions may be my choice.

I just got off the phone with "Tire Rack"... Since they already sell at a discount, we cannot get a better "Group Buy" price. However, if Bill is able to pick them up for us...even at "Tire Racks" list price, they will be cheaper than any retail location near us.

I'll keep the club updated with any other info I receive from other suppliers.

Update:

Members- It looks like Bill & I can handle the pickup. That's a shipping savings of about $20.00 a tire.

Please post up what sizes and brands you are interested in. That will give me a better idea of what I'm haggling over.

I'll let you know. I'm in a dog fight right now on ebay for a set of wheels/tires. So I don't know exactly what size I'll need just yet.

Damned ebay! Lucifer's Playground!
