Default Networking in our area

Hello all!

I'm not to active here and unfortunately have not had the pleasure of meeting any of you yet. I am from the Johnstown area and am looking for any small to medium business networking opportunities available in the Greensburg, Irwin, Pittsburgh area and surrounding. I am starting my own IT Consulting firm full time, currently with myself as my only employee. I already have two large clients in the Irwin area and looking to expand and take on new clients whom I can serve their IT needs.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Congrats with the business! I'd say it would certainly help to make a few events as S2Ki and PghCNC are pretty tight groups. I'm sure if people saw you more often your name would pop up if they required a business service that you offered!

Hope to see you around.

What type of work are you involved with? Systems, Networking, Virtualization, Security, Development, and so on?
And is your company more Professional Services or IT Consulting? I only ask this due to the fact that 99% of the IT "Consulting" outfits are 99% Professional Services outfits. Nothing wrong with it at all as I did Professional Services/Contracting for years.
What size of companies have you worked with in the past?

I myself am a VMware Specialist.

I myself am a VMware Specialist.

Mostly into Systems, networking and virtualization. I can do the basic network security too. I work now as a network administrator for a 60 employee accounting firm.

I am completely IT Consulting and on my own. As of now I do not have any employees, no plans to get into the Professional services game. Not interested in that.

Both of my consulting clients I now "moonlight" for are 50-80 employees large. They are metal fabrication companies so it's a bit different setup than the accounting firm I work in as my day job.

Looking for networking/marketing opportunities with the SMB's in the Greensburg, Irwin, or surrounding Pittsburgh area. Any suggestions?
