Thumbs down Save the Dragon!

Found this petition posted in the Dragonball Forum.

"To: North Carolina, Tenn. and GA legislators

We, the undersigned (heretofore refferred to as "we"), have joined together to make public the dissention among the general population on the subject of the proposed Highway 3 project spanning from Savannah, Georgia to Knoxville, Tennessee. We feel that the construction of such a highway would destroy several natural attractions, quaint hometowns, delicately balanced ecosystems as well as upset the delicate economies of numerous townships along its path, not the least of which being places such as Deal's Gap, the "Tail of the Dragon" (US 129), the Cherohala area and many others. By signature of this document, we show our continuing dismay that such a project would be considered, and also that we may withhold votes from those regional legislators and other proponents of this particular project.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned"

Wouldn't a bunch of sportscar owners signing a petition to keep the country's best place to speed be possibly counterproductive? If not, here's my signature!

cool...i'm not giving you/them a hard time at all...I just didn't think the engineers would care about those issues. good luck with the petition! I've never been to the 'Dragon' but apparently it's all that it's hyped up to be!

I have always wanted to run The Dragon on my CBR. However, I dread the 8hr. plus drive just to get there. Perhaps now I should make a point to go???
