I'm in for this event. Jeff is going to install some drilled and slotted rotors on my car that day!

Dennis,

I will be attending. Please put me down for a valve adjustment. I look forward to meeting all of you.

I I chose that weekend to go down and spend some time with the little brother in DC and stand around, drink beer, smoke and talk cars with him and his crew.

I think I may have my clutch fluid flushed and changed also, if there is time.

Has anyone here ever inspected their valve spring retainers. I would like to check these before Tech-day. I have seen pictures of cracked retainers, and it does not always appear to be clear. I figure it should only take 30 minutes to take off the cover, inspect and put everything back together. Any words of wisdom?

Why would you do it before Tech-Day? That's what "Tech-Day is for. If you are having a valve adjustment done, the tech has to remove the cover and check them anyway. If I were you, I'd leave the inspection to the guys who know what to look for.

We can do your oil, clutch, brake, diff and tranny fluids. Just let me know which (if any) you would like done. That way, we can make sure to have the correct fluids there.

Just for peace of mind. I have been reading alot of horror stories on here about people destroying their engines as a result of a cracked retainer. I guess I am just a bit paranoid at the moment. I have never over-reved the engine, but who knows what has happend to the car while with the previous owner. I may take a peak at it this weekend anyway.

As far as fluids, just the clutch for me. Diff and trans havee been changed recently.
