Default USA Spec Ipod Adapter

I have a nearly new USA Spec Ipod Adapter for the AP1. It was installed, used for 2 days, then pulled out because a new head unit arrived. The unit works flawlessly, just like it was right out of the package. It was purchased from Science of Speed for $140+shipping.

Asking $120 OBO picked up in Irvine, CA.

Yes, this is the AP1 model, and it does plug into the aux. connector in the back of the headunit.

Would this work for AP2? I didn't know they changed the stereo between the two.

No, there's a different connector for 04+ models.

I was looking at one of these for my AP1, but have held off because I didn't know whether it sounds cd quality. Do you get any hiss or other distortion when playing the I-pod or is it crystal clear?

Nope, no issues with this unit. My roommate also has had one in his car for a few months now, and it sounds fantastic. I've dealt with those FM-tuner, universal lighter plug-in models and after trying the wired adapter will NEVER go back to one of those other pieces of junk. It's like the difference between listening to a cd compared to listening to an AM radio station.
