It is quiet around here, so here are my 3 top topics for the group to consider:

1) Muz is going to order some Aussie side mirrors, if anyone is interested. These are convex replacements and will help eliminate the driver's side blind spot. $43, thread in S2000 Talk forum.

2) We need to schedule an afternoon to go do the carts. I'd like to do it during the week so that we won't have to wait in lines. Anyone available during the week and interested in going?

3) Team Irvine (the 2nd best bunch of guys on the planet) is having another mega-meet in August. The drive is Sunday so we would come home on Monday. Who is interested in this? This conflicts a bit with the planned Grand Canyon drive, also scheduled for August. Thoughts?

I say we postpone the canyon til September - I don't want to miss the next Irvine meet.

Weekdays are tough for me to get down the hill, but many Sundays work.

I'm already itching for a drive - can't wait til the tech weekend in Flag!

That being said I'm up for So Cal if you are.

Also the next SCCA auto-cross is Saturday evening July 13.

You're not out of the loop. Awhile back Walkabt posted a thread to brainstorm drive ideas.

Where we roughly ended up was the June drive to Mormon Lake, a July tech day in Flagstaff, and a north rim run in August. Nothing has been finalized.

I'm also wondering if the 13th is still a good weekend for the Flagstaff thing with the Auto x in Phx that Saturday. I'm fine with whatever you guys want to do.

I probably will miss the tech day in Flagstaff too - closing on a house and moving down the street from Chris and Jim.

I would like to take a drive, but I think the car is grounded (err garaged) for the next month or two with all the stuff I have planned.

Get me some info on the Canyon run and I will make up some maps.

If anyone wants to do a single day drive to Prescott/Yarnell/Sedona this month I might be able to break away for about 8 hours, but nothing overnight.

 

Alright, gentlemen...er, speed scofflaws,

Carts: everybody free next Monday afternoon, the 8th? Let's meet at 2pm for a couple of sessions.

Irvine Meet: It is now schedule as follows:
-- Dinner on Friday, August 30th (unless everyone can get off work by 2pm, we aren't going to make dinner)
-- Drive on Saturday the 31st
-- Go home on Sunday, September 1st. The record is 4hrs, Irvine to In-N-Out Burger.
-- Since TITS changed the schedule, no vacation days are required

If we can get a count for the Irvine meet, we can start looking at hotels and finalizing arrangements. This was a blast last year, with 70 cars showing up and parading around LA.

This means that the Grand Canyon run is postponed...we also need to reschedule a Mt. Lemmon night run.

What about pushing the Speedway deal back an hour or so. Or, I hope you guys hang around for longer than a couple hours at the Speedway deal, I can be there by 4:15 to 4:30, but probably not before - too MANY meetings next week. Too many meetings lately, the fires caused a few issues at my office.

Unfortunately, I won't make it for anything else in the next month, maybe two...unless we have a quick getaway.
