Default Alarms.

Does anyone have any alarm recommendations? I am kind of freaked out, about my HT, Seats, etc getting stolen, so am looking into alarms.

Does anyone have any good experience with any specific brands in their S2k? Anyone have remote starts?

I was looking at the Compustar with drone mobile, so I can track the car, or get alarm faults, etc right to my cell phone.

I need a new headunit too.

Thanks for any insight.

Alarm discussion here is a touchy subject since this is a public forum and I am willing to bet some of the scumbags that steal from us read this.

IMO, I would be more worried about your installer than the alarm.
That is where all, if any issues you have with an alarm will be caused by.

Oh and PARK IN A GARAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should install an ignition kill switch, a fuel line kill switch... and then teach me how to do so because its one of things I've been wanting to do with my car

I understand the concern. I am not looking for specifics on where/how your alarm is installed however, just basic recommendations, and honestly if it is even worth it in these cars.

As for kill switch, the car has an immobilizer, so not really needed.

Also interested if anyone is using a remote start. I was not even thinking about one, but after thinking about it, it would be nice in certain situations.

I have lots of faith in my installer, so no issues there.

I was under the impression that you have to bypass the immobilizer to use the remote start function....

Yes, but you may need proof of purchase if it is not a CR

Sure. Insurance usually covers anything affixed to the car, if you have pics/receipts.

If the car, seats, etc get stolen it isn't the end of the world, but Id rather not even deal with it, if I can help deter it.
