Default Another unsuspecting victim of the Secret Compartment

So I stopped by the Sushi place on my way home tonight. Nick, Chris, Pete, and I were the usual late night owls. Somehow we wound up talking to Pete about his nice stock S2000. Low and behold, we pointed out the secret compartment and for a moment he thought we were pulling his leg. The look on his face and his amazement were priceless as we showed him a whole new aspect of his car...the secret compartment. He bought the car 6 years ago and has never heard about the secret compartment.

Inside we found lots of dust, new owner and service manuals, and the Honda quick start guide. Welcome to the club Pete. As we said, 6 years from now we will show you something else undiscovered in your S2000.

He's a good sport but 6 years has to be some kind of record for not knowing about the secret compartment. Anyone else seen it go longer than this?

HAHA, my dealer never told me too. Bought the car with a full tank and the first time I went to fill up I was looking all over the place and had to finally call him. This was way back in 2000 when we didn't have smartphones to bail us out of everything.

The only thing that took me a while to figure out was the fact there isn't actually a passenger door unlock switch on the drivers side. Even the pseudo-salesmen was looking for it when I asked where it was.. But he did make mention of the compartment and the gas door switch. So I missed out on that fun.

I did the same thing sort of. Bought the car new, Got to the gas pump. WTF? Asked a car salesman that happened to show up at the station, he had no clue. I looked around a little more and found the little knob suspicious and then push and pulled on it. viola.

Haha, same here! .

I bought mine new from a dealer in SoCal and drove it back home to Vegas late at night. Between the fuel filler door and figuring out reverse, I probably wasted a good hour, lol.

Lmao! Finding reverse was another thing!! I had to get an alignment and the mechanic went to go bring my car in the bay, but was in there for a good 5 minutes. First, he couldn't start it then couldn't get into reverse lmao he was so embarrassed.

It would be cool in addition to an auto reverse window function on both windows.
