Default Anyone Keep Fish?

Decided to purchase a 42 gallon fish tank a while back and make it into a community fresh water tank. Keeping fish has turned into a neat little hobby. There are so many different kinds of fish and they all interact differently. Even fish of the same species act differently toward their own kind.

Currently the tank is stocked with:
3 Veil Tail Angelfish (1 Gold, 1 Striped, 1 Marbled)
2 Silver Hatchetfish
2 German Blue Rams
2 Otocinclus Catfish
1 Gold Ram
1 Rubberlip Plecostomas
1 Armored Catfish
1 Peacock Eel

Anyone else into keeping fish?

Here are a couple pictures of the tank:

All of the plants are real and bogwood is the centerpiece.

I've got some Koi. They are nice because they are really easy to take care of. They are basically pretty carp so they eat just about anything including their own scum.

My brother set up a ~6,000 gallon koi pond, which has been around now for about 3 years. He's set up about 4 salt water tanks (60-110 gallons each), as well as a few freshwater tanks over the years. As of now, he just maintains the pond (which is stocked with dozens of koi and turtles and probably around 50 huge goldfish) and his 60 gallon saltwater reef tank. The reef tank is beautiful. Tons of corals, about 5 prize fish, and probably some 100 pounds of live rock at the least. He used to have a 110 with at least $2k worth of fish and eels in it, almost all of which were large enough for live food.

There's nothing quite as cool as watching a Lion Fish take out 5 feeder fish in a matter of 10 seconds.

I'll try to get some pics up of that tank. I think I'll probably be setting up a small 30 gallon reef tank within a few months too.

I had a 150 gallon salt tank for a couple of years. Was very nice to have in the house, but was a lot of work. Once I started traveling more for work I ended up paying someone to come in and take care of it once a month. Person in question did a great job but we started finding CD's and DVD's missing. Ended up selling it to a friend - at least I can visit it.

Start with fresh water (less learing, less work, less expensive fish). Then do some research and read a couple of books before going salt water.

Thats a really nice looking FW tank David. Good colors and nice bottom features - makes me want to get a fresh water tank again.

I was going to purchase a pet store along time ago so I had to work there to see how it was ran. They had a huge salt and fresh water system. I ended up not buying the place cuz it was roach infested!!

Currently I have a 2 gallon tank with a chinese fighter fish, catfish and some sort of something. Only reason I have it because a friend had to get rid of it because they were moving and didn't want to take it.
