Default ASU s2kers..

Hey whats up guys.. Im flying down to chicago tomorrow morning to pick up my 01 s2000. I was just wondering, have any of you guys parked in lot 59 and has anything happened to your car? do you guys recommend anything? i know azyellow told me to take off the antenna everytime, told me to get a car cover also? do i need one? anyone else park in lot 59 or park anywhere at asu? i remember reading someone getting their antenna stolen, but should i worry about getting the car keyed? i usually park at the end of lot 59 cuz im always late, so im kind of worried.. i may have to be late to class and just wait it out until a spot in the front opens up? i just need you guys advice.. thanks!! oh yeah im getting a white 01 s2k.. it has 4900 miles, by the time i drive it back will be pushing 7k almost.. =) cant wait! *very excited* ive been waiting for like 2 months now, so finally im getting it! and the only reason im goign to chicago is the low 4900 miles on a white s2000, i was thinking about getting black, but sinec i had black rsx, i dont wanna deal with another black car.. and plus i love the white with red interior! cant wait til i see you guys on the road!

good colour choice.. i think white w/ red is very classy... i don't know if i've ever parked in that lot... but what i can tell you is full coverage w/ low deductible is always a good thing, yakno just in case... -gage

ps, congrats!

I park in Structure 5, which is just south of the stadium. I have had my antenna stolen and I've gotten 2 door dings, eventhough I try really hard to find end spots. There's really not much you can do about it... and alarms are basically useless at asu. Nobody pays any attention to them and a lot of times I will see people just driving around the structure trying to set off alarms with their subs or exhaust. Also, my friend got his radio and cds stolen in the middle of the day and they took it while his alarm was going off.

Quick 96...er, I mean dc5... nothing will happen to your car if you park in lot 59. However, if you park in lot 58, it will definitely be keyed. Of course, lot 57 is usually where your antenna gets stolen.

Congrats on the purchase.

dc5: Sorry man, I don't know what it's like to park in 59, i've never had to do it :-p

I parked in Lot 4 and never had a problem. There were quite a few nice cars in there and people kept to themselves. I recommend camping out to get lot 4 when decal upgrade comes around. Definately worth it.

BTW- How much did you spend on the car, if you don't mind my asking? Congrats!

Lot 59 is NONONONONONONO

Me and a couple of my friend have had a bad experience with lot 59
You name it; car keyed, broke in, stolen wheels, and even my friends accord got stolen in there.

My suggestion is park in the parking structure , it is not completely safe but better.

First. Parking in lot 59 is your first problem. Go to parking services at the end of the semester and see if you can upgrade. You will be surprised what you can get. It is only 60 more bucks a year. See if you can get lot 40 over by campus police.....I can never understand why people skimp in their parking.

Just thank god you are not in Tucson. It is like going into Mexico there. They have to pay international phone rates when calling into the United States.

ok guys, thanks for the advice.. i think im going to have to leave extra early now and just wait for a car in the front of lot 59 to park at. i got lot 59 cuz i didnt even register til real late cuz i thought i was going to be going to u of a. so only lot available was lot 59. Im thinking about getting the car cover, but i think its too much of a hassle. and plus i think that will make somoene want to mess with the car even more. ill take my antenna off its only a second of my time neways. does anybody else with s2000 park in 59? ive seen a red one there before? i wanna meet up with some of you guys and check out your rides. but i better get to studying now, ive been hanging out and having too much fun driving around this weekend, didnt even study for my tests.. -_- oh well.. it was well worth it! =)
