Default Autocross Feb 25 Tucson

The next autocross is February 25 at SIR in Tucson. There are a growing number of S2000s showing up at the Tucson and Phoenix autocross events. There were about five drivers at the last two events. Come join the fun and hone real driving skills. Learn to drive at the limit. Low cost. I can give rides during my fun runs.

Drive crazy here stay sane on the streets, low cost way to get out your driving agressions.

Rob

Yeah man, it's hard to get them all. Maybe you should come out and show me how it's done?

I actually did get a cone killer award about a year ago.

Thanks John! Actually I hit that cone with the rear wheel when I passed it. That was my fastest raw time and I screwed it up.

I'd love to start up autocrossing again... it's been YEARS. Don't know if I'll make the event this Sunday, depends on how late I get back into town Saturday night. Thanks for posting up this info!

I used to go to EVERY PIR autocross...I can't stand the ones at FIR...its pathetic. I have never seen such a small autox course anywhere, and I had never seen one as large as PIR. But for me, driving down from Prescott...I just don't see the worth in 2-4 minutes of fun after 1.5 hours of driving (one way) and $25 fee + gas to get there.

I just do a weekend of HPDE for free instead and get a combined 2 hours 40 minutes of track time for the same drive and a fun night in phx on saturday.

Sorry...I've just been disappointed ever since PIR was cancelled do to obvious reasons.

The last three courses at FIR have been surprisingly good for the lot size and a couple have even been on Saturday. They felt very open and faster than typical. You

No problem. What's your past experience autocrossing? What cars?
About 8 years ago I did it about once a month, then got into track days instead and quit. We were doing it in mid-sized Alfa Romeos, and found we enjoyed the track better than the autocross course.
I've never had the S2000 out though, so I'd like to try.
