She is the Devil's Highway... and she cannot be tamed. Used to be our big annual drive, but it is too dangerous for more than a few cars at a time.

I'm down, would be best to do an overnighter. where's a safe place for the cars to park? is it better to to an up & back, or make a loop out of it?

 

I'm down for it! Theoscion and I found this road on the map a while ago and have been wanting to run it for a while now..... It is a helluva long drive out there tho, something like 5 hours just to get there

 

I thought this was called the "Alpine" run. Tucson peeps been running it.

 

Do a search on Devil for a lot of interesting reads on what has happened on Rte 191 starting in 2001. Lots of good times there and more than a few harrowing adventures.

 

i bought my car up in morenci and since then ive been wanting to go back and run it but its like a 3 hr drive for me

 

Loooooove that drive. That's the only time I've ever driven the S in snow. Definitely an overnight trip.
