Actually, thanks for digging this up... I need to get the Element windshield done, very soon i think. I have a crack propagating from the lower corner driver's side all the way across my field of vision!

 

Yep. I had KB do my Toyota and was extremely pleased again!
It sure is amazing the difference between the others and KB. Safelite entirely HOSED my install. See my comments on the link.

 

I would go OEM just for the quality, fit, and finish. Non-oem might not pit as much but I would worry about the fit. Just my .02.

Any of the the aftermarket windshield will fit fine - I am on #4 in 5 years. I think the pinkington one lasted the longest.

That being said - insisit that the use an OEM Honda windshield gasket and not the aftermarket crap.

 

I got a rock that cracked my windshield on the drive to Prescott during the SWS2K meet. Yesterday, K&B (480 229-4748) replaced my windshield. The installer showed up promptly at 0900, used a Honda OEM gasket, and mentioned that the glass is OEM; except that it does NOT have a Honda label on it. Getting glass with "Honda" on it would cost ~$200 more.

This is only my second windshield replacement in 6 years. Safelite did the first one and the KB installer found some clips that had been "clipped" by the previous installer. Kudos to K&B. I've got zero deductible glass replacement coverage and K&B worked with my insurance company (USAA) for a painless and "free" windshield replacement.

 

KB did mine as well. Great job!

Just had KB do the S2000 and the Pilot - excellent service and quality "attention to detail" workmanship. Much better than a box of free Omaha Steaks...

 

They came out and did my widnshield at my workplace. The kid said he'd done a few S's and was familiar with it which calmed me down a bit. The glass was Honda and had the label on it. Overall they did a decent job but there is plenty of room for improvement. The inside window frame moldings were hacked up from the blade they used to cut out the caulk and some of the dash plastic up front was scratched as well. Who knows what the rest I can't see looks like.

I think we all hold our cars and service to different standards. Maybe a scratch here and there is nothing to some of us but I think you can be more careful. I would do it myself if I went through a quick lesson.

To compare, the default company came out and did my old Integra windshield and I didn't see a single scratch. I don't remember the name of the company but so far K&B doesn't score too well in my book.
