Be careful...
I put some air in my tires this morning because the low tire pressure light was on. Maybe I overinflated them because I spun out going around a corner! I wasn't going too fast, and luckily no other cars were around. I did have my vsa off (like always cause it's more fun) but it got away from me so quick and with no tire squeal! I had no time to counter steer or roll on the throttle! I ended up high-sided on the median curb facing backwards!
Luckily, no one was hurt (only my pride) and my car only suffered the front bumper and CR lip scratched to hell and ripped off the right side. Front and back rpf-1s were scratched (small dent on the front.)
...and I just raised my deductible from $250 to. $1000 last month because my rates went up!
Moral: changing tire pressure can drastically change your S's handling, be careful!

At least it didn't happen a some speed and you're alright.
So you're saying you put air in your tires and didn't check what PSI you filled them to? With the weather cooling down everyones tires will lose a few PSI.
Us AP1 guys have to stick it out with no VSA all the time! haha

I got an 04 AP2 and no VSA...glad I dont have it though!!! I think its stupid and only worth it if it rains a lot, or other inclement weather.
Glad you are ok, but I really hope you checked the pressure as you filled it...

I leave VSA off, because I don't have it.
it would've saved you. my recommendation. go to a track, then turn it off. and get used to the handling of your car without the computer saving you. then you can get more of a feel for the boundaries and limits safely.
sorry to hear about it, but i would honestly say, you should've expected it sooner or later. if you were driving in a fashion (on the streets nonetheless, but thats another issue) where no VSA makes it funner, then you were gonna lose it eventually.

Yeah, lesson learned. Up to this point, I've been pretty good about keeping things in control, rolling on the throttle when I feel it loosening up in the back. This morning, however, I was going pretty slow (slower than normal, anyway) but it happened so fast, I really wasn't expecting it.
So yeah, I just put air in the tires using the gauge on the gas station air pump to a little over 40 psi all-around. So, maybe too much.
As for the VSA, it stays on from now on (when I get the car back!)

Yea, first off, and imo, never trust the gas station gauge. I dont have proof that they are wrong, but watching other people throw them and drop them on the ground, I really dont feel that its accurate. 40 psi is high. I think factory recommends 32 psi.
