NOTE: by grabbing S2000club.com I could point it anywhere, including any free space S2KCA gives us.

Nevermind, a Honda dealership owns it... It said available at first.

But we could grab something like that.

do we want s2000club.com or something with arizona in the name too?

tanq, i agree with you, i had thought of this new site as an introduction to our club, members, events etc with our main communication being on s2ki.com as far as minor social events, setting up drives, discussions, etc...

jordan, you are right, i think we should have a direct access to the website location so content can be updated on the fly and also limit the access to the people that would be directly inputting for the website content...if others want items added a pm or email can always be sent as a request...

How much is domain registration? $30 for 3 years? We can all chip in on it. Do we have to register it to an individual or can we register it to AZ-S2KC (which hopefully will exist soon).
I vote for a short URL...anything but arizona-s2000-club.com!

Looks like I'm chiming in here late like usual guys but if you need any help with programming, webspace, etc. let me know... I have my own webserver and am a webmaster for many sites. You can take a look at my personal site if you want here... www.logic-2000.com

Also yes it is right at about $30 for three years...it's like 8.95 a year...So we could just pay per year if you want. Like I said I'm offering my services if you guys need anything. Let me know.

I am at the office, limited flash / macromedia capabilities...there is nothing for me to click on so I am assuming one of those applies.

If you do this for a living, I'll recommend you do the site for us - if you want the job. I want a functional and good looking website. I can't use my intranet team to help on this site and I don't program enough to make it look spectacular. The part I can see looks very nice.

Good God - doesn't anyone have to work anymore?

These all sound like great ideas -- any idea how much space we can get on S2KCA.com? On average, I have about 25MB worth of photos to post from each drive -- 64MB from the larger events like Laguna or 191. Obviously these can be sized down, but it's nice to make the high res available temporarily for download.

We've obviously got some talent in this group - very exciting!
